Jessica Wuetschner is a chance to return for the Lions this weekend after Head Coach Craig Starcevich named her in his 23-women squad to take on the GWS GIANTS on Sunday at Hickey Park.

Wuetshnner has not played for the Lions since their Round 1 win against the Adelaide Crows. If she plays, this will the star forward’s 25th AFLW game for the Lions. Her Foundation Eight teammates Shannon Campbell and Breanna Koenen will also be celebrating the milestone.

The Lions have a potential debutant in Tahlia Hickie, who has been named on the extended interchange bench. Hickie is a former Hyundai Help for Kids Lions Academy product and often plays as a ruck or key position player.

Joining Hickie on the extended interchange bench are Belle Dawes, Orla O’Dwyer, Lily Postlethwaite, Gabby Collingwood, Maria Moloney and Wuetschner.

Starcevich’s final team will be revealed tomorrow Friday 28 February.
