Young draftee Deven Robertson will play his first senior game for the Brisbane Lions when they take on Carlton at Ikon Park in their second Marsh Community Series match on Sunday.

Robertson was named in a strong side which features Captain Dayne Zorko who has recovered from minor hamstring soreness that stopped him from playing in last weeks’ State of Origin for Bushfire Relief match.

Senior Coach Chris Fagan was excited to see what Deven could do in the Seniors.

“He’s ready, he’s definitely earned his spot in the side” Fagan said.

Robertson will start on an extended interchange bench that also includes Callum Ah Chee, Jarrod Berry, Mitchell Hinge, Alex Witherden, Brandon Starcevich, Jack Payne and Oscar McInerney.

The match takes place at Ikon Park on Sunday 8th March from 6:40pm.

You can catch the team at the Brisbane Lions Family Fun Day the next day at the State Netball Hockey Centre, Parkville from 10am-12pm.
