Backline coach Murray Davis said the Lions must quickly learn from their mistakes against Richmond, when they meet GWS this Saturday and aim to keep their 2019 AFL Season alive.

“We created enough opportunities but in big games you’ve got to be able to take them,” Davis told Lions.com.au

“That’ll certainly be a focus.”

Having played GWS in Round 16, the Lions will go into the game having identified what did work in their recent encounter.

“The players were pretty sharp in regard to areas they want to take into the game and focus on," he said.

While the loss to Richmond was disappointing, the Lions are remaining positive that they can stay in the AFL Finals Series hunt when they face the GIANTS.

“That’s the opportunity we’ve created for ourselves, the double chance,” Murray said.

“The group is feeling really refreshed, ready to rip in, and hopefully we get another bumper crowd along this Saturday night.”
