The Brisbane Lions are one step closer to reaching their final pre-season training destination at Flagstaff in Arizona, after making a very brief stopover in Los Angeles.
But the fleeting visit proved more than enough time for the players to experience some of what ‘La-La Land’ has to offer.

Tom Rockliff, James Polkinghorne and new recruit Brent Moloney posted snaps of themselves on Twitter strolling along the famous shopping strip at Rodeo Drive, while Daniel Merrett and Simon Black found themselves on the set of Rove LA - hosted by Australia’s own Rove McManus.

Although Rove is a self-confessed Fremantle Dockers supporter, he would have no doubt welcomed the visit from the Lions stars who added a touch of AFL flavour to his popular show.

The exact nature of Black and Merrett’s appearance on the FOX 8 program is still largely unknown, so Lions fans are encouraged to tune in when it goes to air this Sunday at 7:30pm.

The team bus is set to arrive in Flagstaff late on Wednesday (Arizona time), with official training set to get under way on Thursday morning.

It’s important to note that the local time in Arizona is 17 hours behind the current time in Brisbane.
