It was a really good experience. There were a few touchdowns and the game went into extra time. It was the first time I’d watched American football live, and the atmosphere was great.

This morning we went for a mountain bike ride for about two and a half hours. A little bit of it was on the road, but we also went off-track for a while. Some of it was pretty steep, and it took some time getting used to the breaks and changing the gears.
If was fun and challenging at the same time.

The second session for the day was a strongman upper body/lower body circuit - just moving tyres and doing a lot of dead lifting, jumps and push-ups.
Yesterday’s running session was probably the most challenging part of the camp so far. It would have been solid enough in Brisbane, but it was partiularly tough given the high altitude. However, the boys were terrific and got through it really well.

One guy who has really impressed me has been Charmo. He’s been doing all the running, and has been joining in the weight sessions (along with the corporates). He keeps telling me that he's trying to get his spot back on the team, but it's probably fair to say his time has passed. He’s been doing well though, I’ll give him that.
I’m rooming with AC (Aaron Cornelius) at the moment and that’s going well. At night time we pretty much just watch a lot of TV and try our best to relax. He throws out a few jokes every now and then, so can be entertaining.
One of the funnier moments of the camp was yesterday, when a few of the boys copped a penalty for being over in their USG tests. Basically any guy who was over a certain number had to jump in the freezing pool at about 7pm, so it was nice and chilly.
The trip has been great. Hopefully I can bring back a stronger fitness base and push the guys back home - as the whole group will. I'm sure they will get their chance to do this in the future years.
