AFLW Draft nominations for 2020 is now open.

Players can go to https://womensdraft.afl.com.au/ to nominate. The website is best supported by the following web browsers Safari, Google Chrome or Firefox. 

All players are to nominate for the 2020 Draft via the AFLW Draft Online Nomination process and complete the form electronically by the dates set out in the AFLW Draft Booklet.

Please note that Draft Nominations are only valid for one (1) year. Any player that has previously nominated will have to renominate to be eligible for the 2020 Draft.

A reminder that international players are able to nominate for the Draft as an ‘INTERNATIONAL’ region player by selecting the region ‘ALL – International Players Only’ thereby making them available to all Clubs.

QLD DRAFT NOMINATION REGIONS 

To nominate either the Brisbane Lions or Gold Coast SUNS regions, a Player is required to meet one or more of the following criteria: 

(a) be a current member of the respective Club Academy Program, noting: 

(i) if a Player moves from one region to another, they need to be domiciled in the new region for a minimum of two (2) years to be eligible; and 

(ii) a Club may retain a Player who is aged over 18 years and under 19 years as at the 31st day of December in the Football Year in the Club Academy; 

(b) be an open age (older than 18 years) Player that lives in the respective Club Academy Zone (requirement of having been domiciled for a minimum of two (2) years within the zone); and 

(c) be otherwise approved by the AFLW List Committee. 

If a Player relocates for study (for example, university) their family home will be considered their residential address (in line with current youth age rules where a Player attends boarding school).
