The AFL today released its Round 3 AFLW fixture and the Lions were rewarded with a blockbuster at home.

Off the back of a prolific Round 2 win against the SUNS, the Lions will now face an undefeated Collingwood at Hickey Park at 2:10pm on Sunday 14 February.

Both sides head into Round 3 without having dropped a game and Lions Senior Coach Craig Starcevich expected a tight competition this weekend.

“They’re a really strong outfit all over the ground” said Starcevich.

“Our girls will take a lot of confidence and belief out of the win against the SUNS and that will be important come this weekend’s game against a real contender.

Stercevich was looking forward to playing at home for the second week in a row.

“It will be good to be playing in front of our home crowd again, this game last year was our first ever lock out and it we look forward to seeing all our fans again this weekend.”

Tickets will go on sale Friday morning, with members receiving first access at 10am, before the general public allocation becomes available at 11am.

The Club strongly recommends purchasing an AFLW membership to ensure you can get tickets to the remaining home games.

The game will also be broadcast live on 7mate, Fox and Kayo.
