Clubs confirm academy nominations

On Monday the AFL received nominations for father-son recruits, as well as 29 nominations for potential academy draft picks ahead of the NAB AFL Draft.

Among those who have been nominated include highly-rated Suns prospect Jack Bowes, Jacob Allison (Lions) and Harry Perryman (Giants).

AFLW list finalised

The Brisbane Lions signed three free agents ahead of the 2017 AFL Women’s season. 

Jordan Membrey, Caitlin Collins and Shannon Campbell will complete the team following the drafting of 18 players at the inaugural AFL Women’s Draft earlier this month.

Lions take out the Legends Triathlon

Brisbane Lions trio Rohan Bewick, Daniel Rich and Michael Close combined to take out the Legends Triathlon at Noosa Heads on Saturday.

Close made up plenty of ground in the final leg, moving from fourth to first and overtaking a motor- racing ace in the process.
