Key forward Dan McStay is ineligible as he follows the AFL’s concussion protocols while Jaxon Prior has been omitted.

Second year midfielder Deven Robertson returns for his 16th game this season, having last played in a 49 point Q Clash demolition of the Suns in Round 19.

Jack Payne has not played since injuring his knee in the round 21 loss to Hawthorn in Launceston.

The replacement for McStay has been the subject of intense media scrutiny this week. With fellow key forward Eric Hipwood sidelined with an ACL injury, the pundits have been questioning how Senior coach Chris Fagan would cover the absence of two noted goal kickers and if he would be forced to drastically alter his game plan.

However, ruckman Oscar McInerney said internally the preparation this week had been business as usual.

He said the mantra under Chris Fagan had always been that the side could cover any absence.

“We play such a team brand with 22 contributors, we have no fuss over who is kicking the goals,’’ he said.

“We have trained very well and there are plenty of boys putting their hands up.

“The beauty of our team is we have so many blokes who can play so many roles. We saw Bez (Jarrod Berry) was able to go forward last week and play a role where he created a contest and brought the ball to ground.

“That’s the beauty of our club at the moment, we have smalls who can play tall and talls who can play small.’’
