Three Lions have earnt themselves a spot in the AFLW Team of the Week after their standout performances against Gold Coast on Thursday night.

Courtney Hodder (Forwards), Taylor Smith (Forwards) and Emily Bates (Interchanges) were all named among the Round 7 team for their role in the win over their Queensland rivals.

Hodder’s standout performance saw her collect the QClash medal on the night, the third Lion to win the AFLW QClash medal in the rivalry’s short history.

The electric forward kicked two goals from 17 disposals in what was the Club’s biggest ever winning margin.

While fellow forward Taylor Smith put up one of her strongest performances this season with three goals from eight disposals.

Bates continued her career-best form with another excellent game against Gold Coast.

The experienced midfielder was instrumental in the Club’s record-breaking win, gathering 23 disposals, 14 tackles and six clearances.

It’s the fourth time Bates has been named in the AFLW Team of the Week this season.
