Midfield bull Rhys Mathieson has been rewarded with a spot in Chris Fagan's best 22 and will be a loss to Brisbane's engine room, while big man Kalin Lane will also miss the clash in Blacktown with a hamstring injury.
In a boost for Brisbane, SSP recruit Mitch Cox will return from a quad injury and will line up on the wing for the Lions.
For the Giants, they've won three of their last five games and will take plenty of confidence on their home deck.
