The Brisbane Lions VFL side will be on the hunt for redemption this weekend, after narrowly going down to the Gold Coast Suns by two points in last week’s QClash.

With a string of confident showings prior to their loss against the Suns, the Lions will be looking to return to their recent good form and solidify their place inside the top four when they face Richmond at the Swinburne Centre on Sunday.

Nakia Cockatoo will be searching for another strong performance this Sunday as he continues to press for a return in Senior Coach Chris Fagan’s Best 22.

With Tom Berry and Carter Michael set to miss the remainder of the season with respective shoulder injuries, the Lions will look towards Dev Robertson and Jaxon Prior to bring plenty of physicality and aggression to the contest on Sunday.

While first-year player Darcy Wilmot is presented with an opportunity to showcase his prowess as a rebounding defender in Michael’s absence.

With the Smithy’s VFL Finals Series just weeks away, the Lions can expect a fiery affair against the Tigers, with Richmond only just holding onto their spot inside the top eight.

The Brisbane Lions VFL will face Richmond VFL on Sunday at 11:10am at the Swinburne Centre in Melbourne.
