The Queensland Government has granted The Gabba $35 million for internal refurbishments.

The revamp has come at a great time, with the Lions pulling in record numbers for home crowds.

Queensland’s Deputy Premier Jackie Trad was joined by party members, Lions’ Chairman Andrew Wellington and Jarrod Berry and players from the Queensland Bulls when she made the announcement last Saturday.

“$35 million to the Gabba for internal refurbishments,” Trad said.

The grant will look to improve public, corporate and media facilities in the stadium.

The sparkling changes will primarily feature enhancements to increase the atmosphere.
