The Brisbane Lions have named key forward Dakota Davidson in their extended squad to travel to Melbourne to take on North Melbourne in Sunday’s 2023 AFLW Grand Final.

Davidson, who left the field at three-quarter time in her team’s Preliminary Final win over Geelong with a knee injury, was on Monday cleared of any major ligament damage.
Trio Analea McKee, Caitlin Wendland and Bella Smith have been named on the extended bench for the Lions.

Brisbane will also celebrate four milestones on Grand Final day headlined by inaugural Lion Shannon Campbell playing in her 75th match.
It will also be an extra special occasion for Tahlia Hickie and Jade Ellenger playing with their 50th.

Sunday’s Grand Final could also be a fairytale reward for Lily Postlethwaite who will run out for her 25th match, a staggering1503 days after being drafted – with the delay due to two ACL injuries.

The Lions will face off against North Melbourne in front of a sold-out IKON Park, with the first bounce at 2.30pm AEDT.
