McGrath collected a career-high 31 disposals, took eight marks, laid five tackles and kicked two goals to amass 140 Dream Team points.
It was the second highest individual Dream Team total by a Lions player this season, edged out narrowly by Jonathan Brown’s seven goal haul against Carlton back in Round 2 at the Gabba which earned him 141 points.
Youngsters Daniel Rich and Todd Banfield also proved effective for the Lions last weekend with 103 points and 101 points respectively while Michael Rischitelli’s 86 points were enough for him to reclaim the overall lead over skipper Brown.
It was the fifth consecutive week that the Lions’ overall leader has changed.
Ash McGrath proved just as productive off the field as he was on it, with his team ‘Boonj’s Bandits’ scoring 1,902 points and moving up 33 spots.
He still ranks last of all Lions teams, but is expecting his side to peak in the second half of the season.
The overall leader in the Club’s Dream Team league has also changed with ‘Cloke’n’mirrors’ moving into first place for the first time this season.
Regular leader Sam Bishop has fallen to third while Ullandah Stanley’s ‘go lions go’ is second.
