The Brisbane Lions confirm defender Tom Doedee is available for selection this week, while exciting forward Kai Lohmann will miss.

Doedee, who ruptured his ACL in March last year, is set to be named for the Lions in Saturday’s VFL clash with Richmond at Punt Road.

The 28-year-old intercept defender trained on Tuesday and will again on Thursday before getting the final tick of approval.

Lohmann has been ruled out this week due to ankle soreness experienced during Saturday night’s win over Geelong.

The young forward returned to face the Cats after spraining his ankle against Sydney in Round 1, though was subbed out during the third quarter.

The club will reassess the 21-year-old ahead of next week’s Gather Round match with the Western Bulldogs.

Keidean Coleman continues to make progress in his return from a ruptured ACL, with the defender joining in skills at training last week.

The club will continue to increase Coleman’s training over the next month as he moves towards a return.

Lincoln McCarthy successfully underwent surgery last Tuesday and the forward has started his rehabilitation.
