Followmont Transport in conjunction with the Brisbane Lions are proud to unveil a brand-new truck dedicated to supporting women in sport and transport.

This special edition vehicle, featuring Brisbane Lions AFLW branding, highlights their commitment to breaking barriers and championing women across industries.

This announcement kicks off the 2025 Lions Legacy Appeal, as a club, a community, and a family this is our moment to stand All for One, shaping the future of the Brisbane Lions and our impact off the field.

As a business built on community and people, Followmont recognise the importance of creating opportunities for women, whether it’s on the road, in the office, or on the field.

The unveiling of this truck represents our ongoing support for gender equality, shining a spotlight on the incredible talent and dedication of female athletes and transport professionals alike.

Followmont Transport General Manager of Commercial, Ben Tobin, said the initiative aligns with the company’s focus on fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

"Both sport and transport are industries where women are making a significant impact, and we are committed to supporting and celebrating their contributions,” he said.

“This is more than just a truck, it’s a symbol of empowerment, progress, and the influence of women in our industry and beyond.”

This initiative builds on Followmont’s relationship with the Lions Legacy and the Brisbane Lions, reinforcing shared values of teamwork, determination, and excellence.

Brisbane Lions Head of Women’s Football, Breeanna Brock said it was a huge step in the right direction as the AFLW continues to progress and develop as a competition.

“Our game has seen significant growth in the last few seasons and with all the moving parts it takes to travel this truck will become pivotal to our operation,” Brock said.

“We have increased the number of resources both in staff and equipment as the game has become more and more professional.

“We are very appreciative of Followmont’s investment in our football program and their generosity and support of the women’s game is and has been incredible.”
