The Brisbane Lions have been bolstered by the inclusion of three key experienced players and a debutant for Friday’s match against Fremantle.

Premiership defenders Ryan Lester and Brandon Starcevich come into the team along with veteran forward-ruck Sam Day and first-gamer Luke Beecken.

Lester (concussion) and Starcevich (hamstring awareness) return from injury, while Day and Beecken are rewarded for their form in the VFL.

Making way for the quartet sees Tom Doedee (knee soreness), plus Will McLachlan, Henry Smith and Deven Robertson go out of the side omitted.

The Lions have travelled with emergencies Oscar McInerney, Darragh Joyce and Shadeau Brain.

Friday night’s match at Optus Stadium is scheduled to start at 6:35pm local time and will be broadcast live on Seven, Fox Footy and Kayo.
