We’re excited to welcome celebrated chef Louis Tikaram to the Premiership Lounge for Round 24 as the Brisbane Lions take on Hawthorn.
Born and raised on a 110 acre farm in Mullumbimby, Louis Tikaram’s culinary journey began in his family kitchen, inspired by his Fijian Chinese grandmother. That early passion has since taken him across the globe, leading kitchens in Sydney, Los Angeles, and now Brisbane, where he’s shaking up the local dining scene.
Tikaram made his mark at Sydney’s iconic Longrain restaurant, where he rose to Executive Chef under the mentorship of Martin Boetz. His talent was quickly recognised when he was named the 2014 Josephine Pignolet Young Chef of the Year, a prestigious award that catapulted him onto the international stage.
His journey continued to Los Angeles, where he helmed the kitchen at West Hollywood hotspot EP & LP, earning acclaim from the likes of Food & Wine, Vice, and The Today Show, and starring in the Emmy Award winning series The Migrant Kitchen.
Now based in Brisbane, Tikaram is the mastermind behind Stanley, a modern Cantonese restaurant on the Brisbane River. Fusing the bold flavours of his heritage with the best local seafood and produce, he’s creating dishes that have quickly made Stanley a standout on the city’s culinary map.
When he’s not in the kitchen, Louis is a devoted family man, runner, surfer, and advocate for ocean conservation.
Catch him live in the Premiership Lounge this weekend as we host our final home game of the season. Expect flavour, flair, and unforgettable food as Tikaram brings his signature style to match day.
