The Brisbane Lions are mourning the loss of former Fitzroy player, Graham Knight, who passed away peacefully on 4 January.
Recruited from the Fitzroy District, Knight played 55 senior VFL matches and kicked 41 goals in eight seasons with Fitzroy between 1953-60. He was the 694th player to represent the Club in a senior VFL/AFL match and wore the #1 and #27 guernsey during his playing days.
He remained heavily involved with Fitzroy in an administrative capacity at the conclusion of his playing career.
Knight’s son, Phillip, also played senior football with Fitzroy in the mid-to-late 1980s.
The Club extends its deepest condolences to Graham’s family and friends at this difficult time.
