Lincoln McCarthy (hamstring) has missed since Round 9’s win over Carlton, while Eric Hipwood (knee) hasn’t played since Round 23 last season.

If Hipwood plays at AFL level against Richmond on Sunday, it will also be the premiership forward’s 200th AFL match.

In further promising news for the Lions, defender Ryan Lester and forward-ruck Henry Smith are both nearing closer to a return.
