Fearn-Wannan, taken with pick 19 in the 2025 Telstra AFLW Draft, has impressed across pre-season with her versatility, speed and agility.

Evans, who hails from Perth, joined the Lions as an injury replacement player.

Brisbane Lions AFLW senior coach Craig Starcevich said both players had earned their chance at the top level.

"Asher and Madi have worked extremely hard since joining the Club and have shown great commitment to their development,” Starcevich said.

"They've embraced our program, built strong relationships within the group and earned their opportunity through their performances at training and scrimmage.

“We're excited for them and their families as they take the field for their AFLW debuts this weekend."

The Lions will take on the GWS Giants at Brighton Homes Arena on Saturday, September 5 at 6:35pm AEST.
