Lions defender Ash McGrath is still a chance to line-up against Adelaide this Sunday after scans cleared him of any serious damage to his injured elbow.

McGrath hyperextended his elbow during the third quarter of last Saturday night's match against Geelong and didn't return to the field, but scans received today revealed there was no fracture.

The premiership player who turns 27 this Thursday will train this week to prove his fitness.

Lions ruckman Mitch Clark could also return to the senior side this week although Senior Coach Michael Voss still considers him "doubtful" to face the Crows.

Clark has missed the past two matches with a groin injury and will likely undergo a fitness test later this week.
