Queensland’s Gold Coast will once again play host to the biggest off-season event on the football calendar - the 2012 NAB AFL Draft - and all Brisbane Lions members have an opportunity to attend.

The event, to be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach on Thursday 22 November, will be of particular interest for Lions fans considering the Club has three valuable selections - Picks 8, 24, and 33 - at its disposal.

The Lions were in a relatively similar drafting position last year, when they landed Billy Longer (Pick No.8), Sam Docherty (Pick No.12), and Elliot Yeo (Pick No.30), and Patrick Wearden (Pick No.47) so will be hoping to deliver another crop of quality young players to the Club in 2012.

AFL Club members, along with participants and volunteers in Queensland and Northern NSW are invited to attend the Draft by registering for tickets at www.aflq.com.au/nabafldraft .

The event is proudly supported by the Queensland Government through Events Queensland. For great holiday information visit queenslandholidays.com.au

AFL Queensland is staging a full week’s program of activities surrounding the Draft, including a Combine testing event for over 200 young male and female athletes, a Cadbury’s AFL 9’s corporate challenge as well as Talent Identification and Level 2 Coaching courses.
