Following discussions with the AFL and Stadiums Queensland, the Club advises that the Round 8 QAFL match between the Brisbane Lions Reserves and the Western Magpies has been moved from the Gabba.
The game has been shifted to keep the ground's surface in the best possible condition for this Saturday night's senior AFL match between the Lions and Collingwood.
The QAFL match was initially scheduled to be played as a curtain raiser to the senior game on Saturday afternoon at 3:20pm.
The Lions Reserves will now face the Western Magpies at 2:45pm this Saturday 29 May at Giffin Park, Birubi Street, Coorparoo.
The Club will now consider its options for future QAFL games scheduled to be played at the Gabba prior to its senior AFL matches.
The Gabba gates will now be open from 5pm for this Saturday night's senior match.
