Brisbane Lions Women’s Coach Craig Starcevich has made no changes to his team that defeated Melbourne last weekend.
The Lions will travel interstate to play Fremantle in Fremantle, and with storms forecast, they look set to play their third consecutive match in wet conditions.
Last weekend’s 15-point-win against Melbourne at Casey Fields was interrupted by lightning late in the second quarter while their practice match against the GIANTS in January was played in the wet.
Against the Dees, Lions onballer Emily Bates (11 disposals, eight tackles) stood out at the stoppages, Samantha Virgo marshalled the play from the backline and Sabrina Frederick-Traub presented well all day.
In a boost to the Lions’ chances, Fremantle defender Ebony Antonio has accepted a one-game suspension handed down by the AFLW Match Review Panel.
Antonio was charged with engaging in rough conduct against the Western Bulldogs' Jess Gardner.
Kate Deegan will travel as the emergency for the Lions.
Bouncedown is at 4.05pm WST on Sunday. You can follow the game @lionsaflw
