The Brisbane Lions have confirmed they will make at least two changes to this week’s team as they prepare to travel to Tasmania to take on North Melbourne.

Key forward Sam Day will miss Sunday’s Round 9 match after being sidelined for six weeks with a hamstring strain from last weekend’s QClash win.

Also going out of the side is fellow forward Will McLachlan who returns to the VFL.

The Lions however have listed five potential inclusions headlined by Logan Morris fresh off signing a new two-year contract to remain at the Club.

Morris is named following a week out with calf tightness, while Kai Lohmann is also a chance to return from a shoulder injury that saw him miss last week.

Others added to the squad are ruck-forward Darcy Fort, who today re-committed to the club for 2026, plus James Tunstill and potential debutant Ty Gallop.

Lohmann, Gallop, Fort and Tunstill have been named on the Lions’ extended bench with Darcy Gardiner, Conor McKenna and Ashcroft brothers Will and Levi.

Sunday’s match is scheduled for 4:40pm at Hobart’s Ninja Stadium, with all the action broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo.

The Lions will name their final team at 5pm on Friday.
