Midfielder Jarrod Berry is out of concussion protocols and a chance to return against Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday.

Berry, sidelined last week following a head clash in Round 9, trained on Tuesday and will train again on Thursday to put his hand up for selection.

The Lions are also delighted by further progress shown by defender Brandon Starcevich in his recovery from concussion.

Starcevich, who hasn’t played since Round 1, will move into full training and have his training loads further increased over the next few weeks to develop into match demands.

The Club is hopeful Starcevich could return to play in approximately the next month.

After being managed last week against Melbourne, Oscar McInerney trained on Tuesday and will continue to do so throughout the week.

The Lions will consider managing McInerney for another week or bringing the ruckman back to take on Hawthorn on Saturday.
