Brisbane Lions AFLW forward Rania Crozier has signed a two-year contract extension keeping her at Brighton Homes Arena until at least the end of 2027.

The Youi Brisbane Lions Academy graduate is yet to debut for the Club but has continued to develop under the watchful eye of AFLW senior coach Craig Starcevich.

Drafted in 2023 with pick 31, the 19-year-old has impressed this season during match scrimmage, booting four goals in her last outing playing as a key forward.

“I think this group is building something really special and it’s something I’m excited to be a part of,” Crozier said.

“I’ve loved being a part of this group so far over the last couple of seasons, so to sign on for two more years is amazing.”

Lions Head of Women’s football, Breeanna Brock believes Crozier’s development is something fans should be excited about for years to come.

“Rania is someone who we drafted in from our Academy and has bought in to what we are trying to do here really well,” she said.

“Across her last two seasons her growth has been immense, and it is something we are really excited about as one of the younger players on our list.

“She’s really come out of her shell this year and building her confidence within the group. We are excited about the potential Rania has and what she will be able to do in our group.”
