The Brisbane Lions have acquired Lily-Rose Williamson from Collingwood on the last day of the 2025 AFLW Trade Period.
Williamson will join the Lions along with Pick 17 in the 2025 AFLW draft and a future second round selection in exchange for the Lions Pick 15, 29 and 47.
The 21-year-old impressed throughout the 2025 NAB AFLW season playing 11 games and averaging 12.5 disposals after being promoted to Collingwood’s AFL list from the VFLW as an injury replacement player.
Williamson also spent three seasons on Essendon’s list playing eight games between 2022 and 2024.
Brisbane Lions Head of Women’s Football Breeanna Brock said Williamson will be a great addition to the Club’s list.
“We’re super excited to have Lily-Rose come on board, she is someone who has made the most of her opportunity after finding her way back onto Collingwood’s list this year,” Brock said.
“Her ability to break lines, make good decisions with ball in hand and win tough inside ball is something we really value, and we feel she will be a great addition.
“We can’t wait to see her in maroon, blue and gold next season.”
The Lions were also involved in a deal where they received a future second round selection from Adelaide and a future second round selection (tied to Fremantle) from Carlton in exchange for Pick 17 which was traded to Adelaide.
The Lions will now head to the 2025 AFLW Draft on Monday December 15 with picks 11, 33 and 54.
