In Australia, Bupa proudly provides a wide range of services to more than three million people though its private health insurance, aged care, optical care, chronic disease management and corporate wellness businesses.
Bupa’s well known health insurance brands MBF and HBA have been associated with the Lions for more than four years.
However, for the first time this year, the Bupa logo will appear on the Lions' shorts and feature prominently on the Club's match ball at all Gabba home games (image attached).
Bupa’s Director of Group Development, Mark Engel, said he looked forward to working with the Lions during the season.
“We’re delighted to continue to support the Lions in a way that truly resonates with millions of AFL fans,” he said.
“We have a long and proud history of investing in Australians’ health, and this partnership provides us with a unique opportunity to promote the importance of being active and healthy.
“Pleasingly, the Lions appear poised for success this year and they can rest assured that like all Queenslanders, we’re looking forward to watching them roar.”
As part of its ongoing partnership with the Lions, Bupa will continue to encourage Australians to live longer, healthier and happier lives through the Schools Assist program. The program, which uses the AFL to focus on the health benefits of physical activity, exercise and good nutrition, visited almost 160 Brisbane schools last year.
"This fantastic initiative aligns our long-term goal of encouraging the next generation to make positive lifestyle choices,” Engel said.
