New Lions draftees Keidean Coleman, Brock Smith, Deven Robertson and Jaxon Prior, along with the rest of the 2019 NAB AFL Draft class, met with the AFL Player’s Association yesterday for the inaugural Player Leadership and Induction Camp.

Daniel Rich, Mitch Robinson and Stefan Martin joined the draftees at Marvel Stadium yesterday as more experienced colleagues.

Spanning across two days, all draftees will take part in interactive sessions with AFLPA staff to learn more about the support, education and assistance available to them throughout their careers.

Included as part of the induction camp is a strategic direction and priorities planning session for the AFLPA in 2020 to discuss key issues relating to the playing group.

One of the key discussion points will be how the players can best leverage their positions to support those impacted by the bushfires across Australia.

The camp comes just over a month since the draftees were selected by the Lions at the NAB AFL Draft.

The group will return to Brisbane later today to recommence training tomorrow, Friday 10 January.
