Tayla from Melbourne (VIC)
Jesse has been going well in the Reserves and could be a chance to get some games along with some of the other first year players.
But at the moment I think the coaches are going to stick with the same team to try and get some continuity going for the second half of the year.
Hey Ash! What would be a better way to gain strength - 3 days a week on legs and abdominals and then 3 days a week on upper body or 3-4 days a week on the entire body? Thanks in advance.
Matt from Yulara (NT)
Hi Matt, I reckon you probably only need to spend three days a week in the gym. We generally do 2-3 sessions a week here at the Club.
One day you could concentrate on upper body, the next you do lower body. That will give your body a bit of a break in-between.
I am a huge Brisbane Lions fan and I would love to meet all you guys. How do I meet you guys? Do I have to ring someone up? And do you guys like having the fans come and meet you?
Caitlyn from Bell Park (VIC)
There are opportunities to meet the guys at Family Day events the Club puts on throughout the year. You can also turn up to open training sessions and say hi to the guys as they come off the track as well.
It’s always great to meet the fans when we get the chance.
Do any of the boys drive luxury cars (eg. Mercedes)?
David from Caulfield (VIC)
No, not really. The boys usually just drive whatever they like.
Probably the biggest luxury car is Matty Maguire’s baby blue F100. Being a big farm boy himself, it really suits him.
A few of the guys drive Hyundais now they have come on board as a sponsor of the Club. I know big ‘Rog’ Merrett recently got a good deal on one.
Do a lot of the boys room with each other? If so, who lives with whom?
Sam from Wooloowin (QLD)
Obviously there are the Baringa boys (Jack Redden, James Polkinghorne and Tom Rockliff) while Troy Selwood, Brent Staker and Fev are all living together as well.
Most of the young guys end up living together when they move here from interstate.
Hi Ash. Just wondering what time you have to get up for the recovery session on Sunday mornings. You must all be pretty sore after the game!
Lorraine from Kingston (TAS)
It changes a bit from time to time.
Sometimes it starts at 10am and other times we get to sleep in a little bit longer.
It’s always tough on your body the next morning, but it certainly helps get you going for the rest of the week.
I just want to say what a great job Beau is doing with the young ruckmen. I reckon Leuie is doing a great job. Say hi to him for me. I was his biggest fan.
Anthony from Lalor (VIC)
No worries Anthony, I’ll pass it on.
I have been a member for 15 years and have never missed a game at the Gabba in this time. There are quite a few Tassie boys at the Club this year, is Justin Sherman the ring leader of this group?
Robert from Parkinson (QLD)
We’ve got a few Tasmanians here at the Club but Shermo isn’t their leader.
That’s probably big Bart McCulloch. He’s the ring leader and wears his Tassie pride on his sleeve.
