The Brisbane Lions are saying “I’m lovin' it!” with McDonalds extending its partnership with the Club for a further three years, until 2025.

McDonalds, an iconic and well-loved brand and long-standing supporter of the AFL industry, has today confirmed it will increase its backing of the Lions as Major Support Partner of our AFL team and Official Partner of the AFLW program.

From 2023, the famous golden arches will be proudly displayed on the neckline of the Club’s AFL guernseys.

Brisbane Lions CEO, Greg Swann said the Club was delighted to continue its partnership with McDonalds.

“We are extremely grateful to have McDonalds take its support of the Club to a new level, while also showing its commitment by extending for three years,” he said.

“Our partnership with McDonalds continues to help us achieve great things at AFL and AFLW level, and also benefits our members and those involved in the game at grass roots.

“We're excited to see what the next three years of this valuable partnership leads to and look forward to working together as we head into a new era for the Club.”

The three-year partnership extension highlights the shared values between the Lions and McDonalds.

McDonalds Marketing Manager QLD/NT, Jess Altmann, said Lions members and fans are once again set to benefit from the partnership.

“At Macca’s we align ourselves to partnerships that allow us to have a positive and active impact on the local community, and so we are excited to be extending our partnership with the Brisbane Lions,” she said.

“In addition to proudly featuring on the guernsey neckline, we will be continuing initiatives such as Mac for a Match where each game day ticket holder or member can enjoy a free Big Mac when the Lions score 70 plus points at a home game.

“While McCafé Mondays will continue to entitle members to a free small coffee after each away game.”
