The Brisbane Lions premiership player Poppy Boltz was traded to the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS this morning.
Boltz will join the GIANTS along with the Lions’ 2026 second round selection, in exchange for GWS 2026 end of first round selection announced as part of the AFL’s assistance package earlier this month.
Boltz, who played in the Lions 2023 Premiership against North Melbourne, departs the Den after three seasons and 28 games.
Lions Head of Women’s Football, Breeanna Brock said she was pleased to see Boltz get an opportunity at another club to continue pursuing her footballing journey.
“We would like to thank Poppy for her contributions to the Club,” Brock said.
“She will always have a special place at the Lions as a Premiership player, and we wish her all the best at the GIANTS.”
