Brisbane Lions AFLW premiership player, Ellie Hampson has been traded to Port Adelaide this afternoon.
Hampson will join the Power along with Pick 36 in the 2025 AFLW Draft and the Lions 2026 fourth round selection in exchange for Port Adelaide’s pick 28 and 46 along with their 2026 third round selection.
Hampson, who kicked two goals in the Lions 2023 Premiership win over North Melbourne, departs Brighton Homes Arena after three seasons and 31 games for the Club
“We are sad to see Ellie go. In the three years she’s been with us she’s played in a Grand Final every year playing a key role in our premiership in 2023, her first year as a Lion,” Head of Women's Football, Breeanna Brock said.
"To see her return this year from a badly broken collar bone was a testament to her resilience and how hard she attacked her rehab.
"She'll be a great asset for Port and we wish her all the best."
