The Brisbane Lions are set to have a list of players available for selection this week, while a first-year midfielder will undergo surgery this week.

A positive boost sees Logan Morris (hand), Cody Curtin (chest), Tom Doedee (wrist/knee), Koby Evans (ankle) and Luke Lloyd (ankle) all come off the injury list.

Co-Captain Hugh McCluggage continues to push for a return from a calf injury which he sustained in Opening Round against the Western Bulldogs.

The club confirms exciting youngster Dan Annable will undergo shoulder surgery which is expected to sideline him up for to four months.

Annable, taken with Pick 6 in last year’s draft, underwent scans following a re-dislocation of his right shoulder in Round 1 against Sydney.

The 18-year-old Youi Brisbane Lions Academy graduate first dislocated his shoulder in an intra-club match on Community Camp in January.

Annable received treatment and played out the game against Sydney, though it has since been decided that surgery is the best course of action.

The talented midfielder will have surgery on Thursday, and the club will provide a further update in due time.
