The Brisbane Lions expect ruckman Darcy Fort to recover from illness and utility Bruce Reville to overcome leg soreness and both face Adelaide at the Gabba on Sunday.
Fort missed Sunday’s match against Melbourne due to flu-like symptoms, while Reville received treatment late in the game after having his leg stood on.
Both players trained on Tuesday and will train again on Thursday to push for selection; however, the Lions will be without another key duo.
Midfielder Jarrod Berry is set to be sidelined for the next three to four weeks with a calf strain, while defender Noah Answerth has entered concussion protocols.
Veteran defenders Dayne Zorko (calf) and Darcy Gardiner (shoulder) are both progressing well and remain on track to return in the coming weeks.
