AFL Team Announcement: Lions pack McCluggage for trip to Sydney

The Brisbane Lions have selected Co-Captain Hugh McCluggage for Saturday’s Qualifying Final with the Sydney Swans at the SCG.

McCluggage is a key inclusion for the Lions’ first final after missing the last three rounds of the home and away season with a calf strain.

Young defender Ty Gallop goes out of the side to make way for the All-Australian midfielder.

McCluggage is named to start on the interchange along with Sam Draper, Jaspa Fletcher, Levi Ashcroft and Conor McKenna.

While Gallop is listed as one of three emergencies with Lincoln McCarthy and Bruce Reville.

Saturday’s Qualifying Final is scheduled to start at 3:15pm and will broadcast live on Seven, Fox Footy and Kayo.
