Brisbane Lions defender Keidean Coleman will make his return to football this weekend through the VFL on Sunday afternoon.

The Lions host the Gold Coast SUNS at Brighton Homes Arena having five changes following their 49-point over Sandringham in Round 5.

Coleman is set to play his first game in more than 12 months after rupturing his ACL.

Coleman suffered the injury to his left knee in the second quarter of last year’s Opening Round match against Carlton, which saw him miss the rest of the season.

Jimmy Tunstill and Darcy Fort return to the VFL side with Will McLachlan and Conor McKenna both being elevated to the AFL.

James Creighton will play his fourth VFL game for the year replacing Curtis McCarthy who is unavailable with concussion along with Wyatt Greenaway who has also entered concussion protocols.

Lions Youi Academy product Ryan Glider will make his VFL debut replacing Greenaway.

The Lions will don the Bears guernsey for the SUNS clash mirroring the AFL.

Fans are encouraged to get down to Brighton Homes Arena with Lions hosting the SUNS from 12:05pm.

If you can’ make the game you can catch all the action on the AFL app or the live stream on https://www.afl.com.au/vfl.
